Clinical research and teaching are vital for medicine. It’s costly but necessary if we’re to offer top-notch medical care.
Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne contributes to building solid foundations for the advancement of medical knowledge. Did you know that:
Research and teaching are at the heart of our Hospital’s university mission.
This new room, one of the most modern in Québec, is a risk-free environment that allows students to be evaluated as they handle situations that require composure and the ability to make the right decisions.
The high-fidelity simulation room is a unique and concrete opportunity for us to invest in health and support a new generation of physicians in a lasting way. We wanted to make this donation in our lifetime so that we can enjoy seeing the project take shape.
Louise and Denis S. Arcand, Brossard residents and donors
The molecular biology and social sciences laboratory, the first in Canada, will serve as an important research hub. It will attract university professors, clinician‑researchers and students.
Dr. Louis-Philippe Haraoui
The goal of the Pikorua project is to create a state-of-the-art microbiology and social sciences research laboratory. The research will focus on the microbiological and social factors that cause the spread of antibiotic‑resistant bacteria, a major concern the world over.
While it’s important to limit the use of antibiotics, Dr. Haraoui’s researchers are seeking to identify other less obvious factors that will make it possible to improve our capacity to contain the spread of these bacteria.
