A for your hospital

2025 gratitude report

Thanks to your commitment, your Hospital continues to evolve, innovate, and push boundaries to offer even to its community.

Every day at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne, patients go through pivotal moments. Moments when everything matters: the quality of care, of course, but also the humanity, kindness, and attention given to each person. And behind each of these moments, there is YOU.

At a time when needs are immense and resources are often under pressure, your support makes all the difference. It helps accelerate projects, open new possibilities, and transform the patient experience in very real ways.

The new pediatric day centre is a perfect example. Fully funded thanks to you, it now allows children across Montérégie to receive specialized care, at the right time, in an environment designed for them — and most importantly, without hospitalization. This project reflects a modern and deeply human vision of pediatrics.

You have also helped bring innovative initiatives to life, such as this musical research project, developed in collaboration with the Opéra de Montréal, exploring the benefits of choral singing on the health of oncology patients. Initiatives like this reflect our academic mission and the key role of our research centre in advancing care for patients.

Your generosity allows us to act where every minute counts. It enables faster access to care through the opening of a new ENT consultation room. You also provide essential support to individuals experiencing psychological distress — offering support when it’s needed most.

Through each of these advancements, you help elevate a university Hospital rooted in its community — where excellence in care, teaching, and research strengthen one another.

Because of you, care becomes human, accessible, innovative.
Because of you, we can do better. And above all, do .

Thank you,

Events that bring people together… and transform healthcare

Events are everywhere. But those that truly mobilize, move people, and create lasting change in a community are rarer. Year after year, so many of you show up — with heart, generosity, and enthusiasm.

You’ve cycled, played golf, shared fine wines, taken on inspiring challenges, and tried your luck in the lottery.

But beyond the activities, you’ve helped create meaningful moments that bring people together around something essential: health. Because of you, these events become much more than opportunities to gather.

They become concrete drivers for care, right here at your Hospital.

Together, let’s ride against cancer to make a difference

What an extraordinary effort! Thanks to the energy of Hospital staff, partners, donors, businesses, and the entire community, nearly $210,000 was raised to support cancer patients at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.

Tuesday, September 30 marked the highlight of the event: the 12-Hour Cycling Challenge. For 12 hours, 14 teams made up of staff from various departments — joined by local sponsors, partners, and former patients — took turns on stationary bikes, channeling their energy into specialized care, state-of-the-art equipment, and research for oncology patients.

“I had to give back,” says Gilles Bouffard, a two-time cancer survivor treated at the Hospital. “I was fed, housed, and healed. I feel indebted. Participating in the Challenge was my way of giving of myself, literally.”

The success of this year’s event also rests on the collective and inclusive commitment of citizens and families taking part in the 30/30 Challenge, as well as companies participating in the 9-to-5 Cycling Challenge, including Agropur, National Bank, BCL Property Management, and Distech Controls, which organized relay cycling activities in their offices.

This powerful chain of solidarity brought together citizens, business leaders, and elected officials, including Longueuil Mayor Catherine Fournier, who came to cheer on the Hospital teams, as well as Foundation spokespersons Josée Lavigueur and Dominic Arpin.

The Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar: making the invisible visible

The Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar, presented by Desjardins and co-chaired by Benoit Lemieux and Éric Fortin, was once again exceptional.

Thanks to YOU, $260,000 was raised through the prestigious wine auction and the exclusive La Paulée evening. This brings us one step closer to our $1,500,000 goal to transform psychiatric spaces — creating environments that are more soothing, more luminous, and more human for patients.

A closing evening centred on the invisible and the essential
La Paulée 2025 offered a truly unique experience: an intimate sound immersion inspired by the lived experience of Isabelle, a patient at the Hospital living with a mental illness.

Surrounded by the refined creations of Chef Jean-Sébastien Giguère from restaurant h3, and guided by sommelier Élyse Lambert, guests shared their great wines, their stories, and a shared vision: to offer support in mental health.

Thank you to our presenter, Desjardins.
Thank you to Humaniti for hosting us year after year.
Thank you to our partners Alfred and Tanguay.
Thank you to the bottle donors.
Thank you to the bidders and participants of La Paulée.
Thank you to the members of the organizing committee.
And thank you to YOU, for bringing together passion, generosity, and impact.

We look forward to seeing you in 2026 for another remarkable vintage of solidarity.

A record amount raised at the Golf Classic for Health Innovation

Organized for several years by the Lemieux family, deeply committed to philanthropy, the Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic, presented by RBC, has become a must-attend event at the prestigious Pinegrove Golf Club, in support of patients at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.

Thanks to an extraordinary wave of generosity, the Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic raised a record-breaking amount of over $800,000, with generous donors stepping forward to match the evening’s proceeds. A powerful moment that all participants were proud to be part of.

These funds bring us closer to the upcoming $3 million acquisition of the Da Vinci surgical robot — a milestone that will make Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne the first Hospital in Quebec to acquire the latest generation of this technology.

Held under the honorary chairmanship of Serge Savard, and co-chaired by Jérôme Brassard (RBC) and Benoit Lemieux, the event brought together numerous celebrities and business leaders in a warm and festive atmosphere. Golfers also had the opportunity to take on a challenge led by professional golfer Marilou Bernier, all while supporting a cause that drives innovation and creates real impact.

Relive these memorable moments by browsing the full photo album of the event.

We look forward to seeing you on June 1, 2026, for the next edition!

Community-led fundraising initiatives

Across the region, dedicated individuals are taking action to support patients. Concrete acts, driven by the heart.

After 13 months of treatment for two cancers, including a rare form of leukemia, Gilles Bouffard got back on his bike to launch Le Tour des Battants. A gesture of gratitude that raised $13,700 in support of cancer care.

In the business community, the organizers of the EQCO Conference — Évolution du Québec en construction — chose to give back a portion of their event’s profits, along with funds raised through their auction. A meaningful initiative that helps build a healthier future.

At Résidence Jazz Brossard, a 5th anniversary took on new meaning. Summer activities, resident participation… and a wave of generosity in support of patients in the community.

And because commitment has no age, the Little Philanthropists’ Club shows that every gesture counts. One initiative at a time, they take action to make a real difference.

One thing unites them: the will to act. Thank you to everyone who steps up, who brings others together, and who gives from the heart. Your commitment makes a real difference for the patients at your Hospital.

Hello,

Over the past year, a clear intention has guided everything we do: to meaningfully improve the well-being of patients, right here at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.

Gentler care. Simplified journeys. Environments designed to soothe — all driven by one shared goal: to offer a  human care experience. None of this would have been possible without you.

Through your generosity, you are transforming the patient experience and bringing comfort, here, every day.

This 2025 Gratitude Report reflects that impact. You’ll discover the very real difference your commitment makes.
It’s a story we are writing together.

Thank you, sincerely.
