INNOVATION

Hospitals are under constant daily pressures. Yet, in a constantly changing world, it’s crucial to take the long-term view.

The government, which funds basic standard equipment, is a critical partner. But each hospital has its own areas of expertise and its own needs. That’s where your contribution is essential.

Your investment goes beyond simply funding health care. It supports the ongoing development of Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne, where innovation is the norm.

The knee robot is a perfect example. In a world that’s constantly changing, a substantial investment in robotics is inevitable in the coming years. The growing presence of robots in the operating room offers the promise of faster, more precise and safer procedures. It’s revolutionizing medicine to the benefit of more and more patients.

What is the knee robot?

The knee robot revolutionizes the way we perform knee surgery. It customizes every procedure based on each patient’s unique morphology, with unparalleled precision. With this robot, we get better outcomes, reduce complications and speed up the patient’s return to active life.

Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne is the first Francophone public hospital in Québec to obtain a revolutionary orthopaedic surgical robot!
This $1.2 million purchase, funded by your exceptional generosity, represents an incredible advance for knee surgery.

Development projects

The new Pavilion will increase services in critical care and offer environments that meet the latest quality of care standards.

The determination to remain on the avant-garde is clear in the continuous improvement of equipment and the funding of state-of-the art technologies. Much of it will be integrated into the new Critical Care Pavilion.

The new facilities will include an operating theatre, an intensive care unit, a satellite pharmacy, respiratory therapy services, a mental health brief intervention unit and a brief hospitalization unit.
