WELL-BEING FOR PATIENTS AND CARE STAFF

Imagine a time when patients will have access to surgeries that are fast, effective, precise, with even better results thanks to more advanced technologies.

WELL-BEING FOR PATIENTS AND CARE STAFF

A Hospital visit or stay can be a source of major stress for patients. Staff shortages, not enough beds, limited operating room time—all of this adds to that stress. Patient well-being is intimately tied to the well-being of our care staff.

Patient well-being is achieved through technologies that allow for less invasive procedures. It is also achieved through complementary treatments, such as a multi-sensory room, massage therapy and cancer comfort kits. For care staff, access to leading-edge equipment allows them to work in the best possible conditions. And translates into precision, speed, safety and success.

What is a multi-sensory room?

A multi-sensory room is a relaxing room equipped with technology to stimulate the senses and encourage patients hospitalized at the geriatric unit to move as a means to reduce the stress that comes with hospitalization.

The multi-sensory room helps reduce aggression and apathy, stimulate their senses, ease their pain, improve their sleep and encourage sociability. Thanks to you, our elderly patients will recover faster!

Development projects

This redevelopment will transform access to essential exams for thousands of patients. By enabling faster and more accurate diagnoses, it will help deliver the right care more quickly.

At the request of the ENT, gynecology, and urology teams, the Fondation Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne has committed to funding the development of a brand-new space on the 6th North floor to bring together all non-digestive endoscopic procedures.

This $2.6 million project will increase access to specialized exams—especially those crucial for early cancer diagnosis—reduce wait times, and offer patients a welcoming and modern environment that aligns with best clinical practices.

Thanks to your generosity, this new space will become a reality. You will help meaningfully improve the care journey of thousands of patients while also supporting university teaching and the recruitment of medical specialists at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.

Development projects

This robot will make a world of difference in the daily lives of patients who are in pain as they wait for a prosthesis. They’ll be able to resume active lives!

At the request of the team of orthopaedic surgeons at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne, the Foundation committed to funding the purchase of an orthopaedic surgical robot. This will give patients waiting for a knee replacement access to the most advanced technology available today. In Québec, 30,000 patients are waiting in pain for a prosthesis to change their lives—9,000 of them have been waiting for more than a year. Knee replacements using conventional methods are an imperfect solution. The new robot offers more precise and tailored surgery so that patients can resume normal lives.
