Longueuil, December 5, 2023 The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Montérégie-Centre announces the opening of a new space dedicated to electrophysiology at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne. The first users were greeted by the teams on November 6, 2023.
All of the medical electrophysiology activities in cardiology and neurology are now grouped in a single sector, on the ground floor of the Hospital. This location allows for better access for ambulatory clients.
“We have a modern, more spacious location that’s better adapted to the needs of patients and teams. This reorganization allows for greater clinical efficiency and better coordination of care,” says Maryse Poupart, President and Executive Director of the CISSS de la Montérégie-Centre.
The service offer has also been improved with the acquisition of leading-edge electronic devices, including cardiac monitors as well as exercise electrocardiogram and electromyogram machines.
It is important to note that the Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne made a $500,000 contribution to this major project to support new equipment purchases. “Patients with heart and coronary disease can say thank you to our generous donors for the organization of this new service. This speaks to the power of each donation which, when pooled, changes lives,” says Nathalie Boudreau, President and Executive Director of the Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne.
