Right now, the hospitalized patients I’m performing knee or hip surgery on have been on a waiting list for almost two-and-a-half years. My day surgery patients have been waiting for a year.

Patients come into my office in tears. Desperate people are selling their cars so they can get the procedure done privately. It’s quick, but expensive. 30 000 Quebecers are waiting for replacements. 9000 have been waiting for more than a year!
