The status quo is not an option

The Generations Challenges is part of the solution. Think globally, act locally. That’s the mantra of this unique movement to offer the best of medicine, close to home, everywhere in Québec.

The health and social services system is on the cusp of major change. Transforming health care and making the network more effective is a societal project. It involves all of us and we must devote ourselves to it with determination.

That’s why several foundations are uniting around the Generations Challenge, the biggest fundraiser in support of hospitals! United around a shared mission: to achieve greater leverage for a bigger impact and a stronger health network.

We’re convinced that hospital foundations are critical government allies in improving access to care by paving the way for more research, more innovation and greater patient well-being.

Transformative donations

By funding cutting-edge equipment, training physicians and care staff and supporting research, the foundations tirelessly contribute to driving the development of our hospitals. For three years, thanks to the Generations Challenge, an additional $2 million has been injected into these initiatives. And this is just the beginning!

  • In a health system that is grappling with record surgery wait lists, the Generations Challenge made is possible to invest in projects that reduce surgery wait times and the length of hospital stays.
  • In the context of unprecedented labour shortages, the Generations Challenge made it possible to invest in equipment and training.
  • In a world where knowledge, technology and robotization are possible solutions for the medicine of tomorrow, the Generations Challenge made it possible to invest in promising pilot projects. In innovation!

The foundations are calling on the public to participate in large numbers in the Generations Challenge and make a concrete gesture in support of the health system.

The Generations Challenges is part of the solution. Think globally, act locally. That’s the mantra of this unique movement to offer the best of medicine, close to home, everywhere in Québec.
