Montérégie Community united to ride against cancer in support of Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne’s patients
Greenfield Park, September 3, 2025 – In a vibrant and energizing atmosphere, the Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne yesterday launched the 2025 edition of “Together, let’s ride against cancer – Generations Challenge”, presented by Promutuel Assurance, in the presence of Josée Lavigueur, the Foundation’s ambassador and spokesperson, along with numerous participants in this cycling challenge.
Throughout the month of September, the Montérégie community is joining forces to ride and raise funds in support of cancer patients treated at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne — the only university-affiliated Hospital in the Montérégie and a regional leader in oncology.
In 2024, more than 67,000 Quebecers learned they had cancer. That represents 184 diagnoses every day, and cancer has now become the leading cause of death in Quebec. These numbers are striking, but above all they remind us why we must act collectively. Together, let’s ride against cancer is more than a cycling challenge: it is a wave of solidarity to raise awareness, support each other, and raise funds so that Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne can continue to provide more highly specialized care to patients, right here, at home.

President and Executive Director of Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne
Three Challenges, one goal: transforming cancer care!
- 30/30 Challenge: ride 30 km in 30 days, at your own pace and in your own way — by bike, scooter, skates or even stroller. A challenge accessible to everyone: solo, with family, or with friends.
- 9-to-5 Cycling Challenge: for one day, companies transform their employees’ energy into solidarity by riding in relay from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., right in their workplace, to raise funds. Several companies are already registered.
- 12-Hour Cycling Challenge: on September 30, Hospital employees will ride in relay from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Hospital’s main lobby, a highlight of the event also open to partners and citizens who wish to come and cheer them on.
The entire community is mobilized to ride and push cancer back!
