On Monday, July 8, the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Montérégie-Centre (CISSSMC) issued a call for vigilance because one of its external suppliers, Unicause/Unimarketing, also related to Fondation de l’Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne, was the victim of a cybersecurity incident.
Those potentially affected are users who received care or services at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne (HCLM) between January 2021 and May 2023 and who were solicited to make a donation to Fondation de l’Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne (FHCLM).
A few Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne donors were also affected, but to a lesser degree. The people concerned will receive an email or a letter in the post in the coming days. For the Foundation, the data shared was: last name, first name, postal adress and/or email adress and/or phone number, and date of birth. No financial data was transferred.
We take the protection of the personal information entrusted to us very seriously. That is why we are sharing this call for vigilance with you today.
While there is no sign of fraud or identity theft resulting from this incident, we encourage all those concerned to remain vigilant to possible attempts at fraud through suspicious emails or telephone calls. Any suspicious activity should be reported to authorities immediately.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact a member of Unimarketing by calling 1-833-615-1421 or by email at renseignements@unimarketing.ca.
