Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne warmly thanks its donors during its first ever Thank-a-Thon
Greenfield Park, January 25, 2024 – Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne organized its first ever Thank-a-Thon to express its sincere thanks to its donors who, through their generosity, support patients at the Hospital on their journey to recovery and well-being.
1250 donors contacted!
The Foundation’s team, accompanied by volunteers from the Board of Directors, physicians at the Hospital and spokespersons Josée Lavigueur and Sophie Lorain, made more than 1250 calls to thank donors all day on January 24, 2024. A genuine wave of gratitude to highlight the direct impact of their big-heartedness!
President and Executive Director Nathalie Boudreau joyfully shared her feelings: “We’re immensely grateful for all those who so generously support the patients at Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne so that they can have access to the best health care! This Thank-a-Thon is the opportunity for us to come together and contact all of the Foundation’s allies to express our gratitude over the phone. ”
The concrete impact of overflowing generosity
The funds raised, thanks to the generosity of these donors, made it possible to carry out several concrete projects including renovation of the endoscopy department, the purchase of new equipment for cardiology, and the launch of a research project on the impact of the pandemic on youth.
The coming years also promise to be filled with opportunities for the Hospital’s development! This year, for example, donors will be able to contribute to the development of a multisensory relaxation room to help seniors with symptoms of dementia recover more quickly. Projects like these only come to fruition through the love and support of the community.
“It really warms the heart to talk to people who’ve made donations over the years in support of Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne. To call them, to hear the voices of these wonderful people who are surprised to receive a call at home simply to thank them was, for me, something truly important ”, adds Josée Lavigueur, spokesperson for the Foundation.
