You’ve already planned a trip, a family get-together, your retirement? You can also plan your donations. Planned giving is about defining what you hold dear to your heart. It’s about taking action to ensure your generosity lives on in a meaningful way!
Planned giving is an immediate or future donation. It reflects your individual and family values, and your commitment to a cause. It’s part of financial, tax or estate planning.
What are the benefits for you? There are lots of good reasons to give. Among others, you can take advantage of significant tax benefits while strengthening your commitment to patients and families at the Hospital.
Taking action today for a healthy tomorrow is an option for everyone, regardless of the size of your estate. Let’s talk about it! Let’s talk about it!
There are also other types of planned gifts: donating flow-through shares, stock options, residual interest, a charitable remainder trust, insured annuity… Strategies vary depending on each person’s financial, personal and tax situation.
For more information and to ensure that the option you choose is suitable to you, talk to your financial or legal advisor. Financial planners, notaries, accountants and tax specialists are the best advisors for preparing planned giving and making sure you take advantage of everything it has to offer.
Normand Chartrand has been involved for years in the cause of mental health. He decided to leave a gift in his will for the Hospital in recognition of the care his son, Renaud, received in child psychiatry.
A huge thank you to our donors and partners. You are people of heart. Without you, we could not change lives.
