Every simulated scenario, every professional trained, every patient receiving better care … it’s all thanks to the compassion of people like you.
It’s a place where innovation and continuous improvement come together to perfect the training of health and social services professionals.

Assistant Director, Education and University Affairs Directorate
Thanks to simulation training, our health professionals develop their reflexes, critical judgment and ability to work as a team. Every hour spent here ensures the delivery of care that is safer, compassionate and efficient for the whole Hospital.
And this know-how is not just for the next generation. The Hospital’s current teams also come to train, upgrade and adapt to the new realities of the health system.
An emergency. A pregnant woman in distress.
Everyone takes action: the equipment is readied, vital signs are monitored, decisions are made quickly. Every action is calm, precise and perfectly coordinated.
But this scene is not happening in the intensive care unit. It’s in the clinical simulation centre, at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.
Here, care teams are learning to deal with critical, complex and sometimes extremely rare situations. The female patient is a high-fidelity mannequin, capable of simulating realistic obstetrical emergencies, including a delivery. The mannequin is surrounded by future doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists—all engaged in active learning, in a 100% safe environment.
Through simulation, our teams develop crucial reflexes in critical situations, in a secure setting.
Marie-Eve Dion-Fortin
Chief of Medical Teaching and Clinical Simulation
