The 2025 Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic raises over $800,000

An extraordinary commitment to innovation in health: the 2025 Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic raises over $800,000

Greenfield Park, June 3, 2025 – Through an incredible show of solidarity, the 2025 Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic, presented by RBC at the prestigious Pinegrove Country Club, raised over $800,000, a new record. The proceeds will go to purchasing the very latest generation of the Da Vinci surgical robot—making Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne the first Hospital in Québec to offer this state-of-the-art technology.

Bringing together several celebrities and 190 guests, and held under the honorary presidency of Serge Savard, the event took place in a warm and festive atmosphere. Golfers enjoyed taking up the challenge declared by professional golfer Marilou Bernier, while supporting a cause that promises innovation and impact.

The Golf Classic raised $402,625—which the Foundation’s generous donors spontaneously matched, doubling the evening’s incredible momentum of generosity. It was a heartfelt moment shared by all the participants.

The surgeons who attended the event highlighted the very real impact of this technology at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne. The purchase of the Da Vinci surgical robot will enable as many as 720 procedures each year. With this less invasive and precise procedure, patients will recover quickly, which means leaving the Hospital the same day, or just two or three days later—instead of two or three weeks. This technology will attract new specialized surgeons, already trained on using the robot, which will add to the Hospital’s surgical expertise.

The success of this Classic is a testament to our donors’ commitment to offering patients the best in medicine, right here in the Montérégie. We’re grateful to our donors and partners for sharing our vision of innovation in health, for the well-being of patients and their families.

Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne wishes to thank its partners, in particular RBC, as well as all the donors, participants, volunteers, health professionals and teams involved. This collective mobilization was a determining step in acquiring the Da Vinci surgical robot that will directly benefit patients in the Montérégie.

We invite you to relive the wonderful memories captured in our event photo album.

Yes! I want to support the patients at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.
