A record-breaking show of support for the Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic
What a day. What a show of support. What a remarkable display of generosity.
On June 1, the Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic, presented by RBC, brought together 144 golfers, along with numerous partners, sponsors, donors and ambassadors at Pinegrove Golf Club.
Thanks to this incredible outpouring of generosity, nearly $450,000 was raised during the event, setting a new fundraising record for the Classic.
The evening then delivered a moment that was as unexpected as it was inspiring. Moved by the enthusiasm of participants and the overwhelming support for the cause, a generous donor couple attending the event announced that they would match the total proceeds raised through the auctions, powered by Groupe HD. This extraordinary gesture helped bring the event’s final total to more than $725,000.
When a community comes together behind a common cause, great things can happen. This year’s Classic is proof of that.
Thanks to this collective generosity, funding for the Da Vinci surgical robot is now complete.
Beyond the dollars raised, it was the energy of the day that left a lasting impression. Loyal participants, committed partners, generous donors and an entire community united around a shared goal: making a tangible difference for patients across Montérégie.
