Elderly patients who arrive at the hospital feel uprooted from their usual living environment. Due to anxiety, agitation or dementia, their stay can be difficult for them and their families.
They need activities to keep them busy at the hospital, a space that feels familiar. Hence, the project to build the Snoezelen room—a multisensory room in the geriatric unit.
When you buy your Liberty Lotto tickets, you’re helping to create a family room so that patients can maintain their relationship with their family.
Listen to Jérémy Palomares, Coordinator of services in medicine, surgery and specialized units, accompanied by Ysabelle Grégoire-Arbour, Chief of the general medicine unit and geriatric short-stay unit, explain the impact of this project for a better hospitalization experience. (Video in French only)
