A miracle of love and gratitude

You gave me more than three months with my husband. I’m so grateful.

Never say no to one more month with me,” Sarina Courchesne told her sick husband.

In 2018, her husband fell seriously ill. At Emergency, the physicians discovered brain lymphoma. They gave him three weeks to three months to live.

Initially, he refused chemo, but Sarina convinced him. After a few months at the Hospital, the tumour disappeared. It was a miracle.

In September 2020, her husband had a relapse. He died on October 19, 2020, after 45 years of marriage. He was 65.

Sarina remembers the support from the nurses, their love and devotion. Since then, she has made several donations to the Foundation to show her deep gratitude. She has even left a gift in her will and plans to offer her birthday as a fundraiser.

A legal assistant, she even advises the clients at the notarial firm where she works to give to Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne. She knows that equipment is expensive and there’s never enough money to respond to all the needs.

She also has a son who’s in the military and understands the importance of service and humanity. For Sarina, the best gift one can offer someone is the chance to live.

Yes! I want to support the patients at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.
