Michèle Ferland and Jean-Pierre Fortin are both 77 years old. They live in Boucherville. They became monthly donors after Michèle learned she had breast cancer.
“A monthly donation is like close relationship.”
Michèle is a former physiotherapist. Jean-Pierre Fortin, the former owner of a coaching school. They have 6 children and 13 grandchildren.
Michèle is doing much better now! They’re both so grateful! And completely convinced that their donations help the Hospital’s quality of care.
“Every time, everywhere, the same skill, the same warmth, the same professionalism. That’s why I’m grateful.”
Jean-Pierre mentions the future acquisition of a positron emission tomography (PET) scanning machine. It is mostly used in oncology to detect cancerous tumours. Not every hospital has one! Above all, the Hospital could never acquire them without the support of its donors.
Motivated by the impact of their donations, they opted for the monthly donation. They wanted to establish a permanent connection with their Hospital. Jean-Pierre is even thinking about adding a bequest to keep supporting the Foundation in the future.
Our sincerest thanks to Jean-Pierre and Michèle! You are precious allies!
