The health care revolution is underway. And thanks to you, it started here, at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.
Your generosity is propelling us towards a future where technology, compassion and medical excellence are one in the same.
For two years now, our high-fidelity simulation room, one of the most modern in Québec, serves to train medical students and upgrade the skills of our care staff.
This year, you helped our Hospital become the first in Québec to offer a multisensory room, a space where technology is used to soothe our elderly patients.
You also helped turn our Hospital into the first Francophone public hospital to purchase an orthopedic robot for knee surgery. A robot entirely funded by you, our donors. A first in paving the way to medicine that is precise, less invasive and compassionate!
And that’s just the beginning! Shortly, our surgery teams could be treating cancers with millimetric precision, thanks to the Da Vinci surgical robot. The Foundation has committed to funding this major project—made possible by the generosity of donors like you.
In a context where 20% of the Québec population is served by our Hospital, where the needs are skyrocketing, innovation is no longer a luxury. It’s essential!
Your support has turned us into a leader in ultraspecialized care, but also in teaching and research—the very heart of our Hospital’s academic mission. We’re attracting the best talent. And above all, offering world-class care to patients. Right here, in the Montérégie.

It’s inspiring to see the general public, our partners and the Hospital’s employees joining forces to continuously offer patients excellence in health care.
Once again, there are no words to describe our feelings and our gratitude. Thanks to your generosity, the participants in the Generations Challenge outdid themselves and raised over $200,000 in support of the Hospital.
Our 12-Hour Cycling Challenge—the very first energetic edition!
On September 12, the atmosphere was electrifying in Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne’s lobby during the 12-Hour Cycling Challenge. Congratulations to the Hospital’s teams who joined forces to take on this challenge—and accomplish it! The “Cycloscopistes” from endoscopy, the “Crinqués de l’urgence,” the “Labo de cardio/neuro” team, “SpeeDEAU Gonzales” from training, “Super Mario” and the “Philanthropes” from the Foundation can all be proud of this achievement.
In tandem with the 12-hour Cycling Challenge, local businesses like the National Bank, Gestion immobilière BCL and Distech Controls took up the corporate 9-to-5 Cycling Challenge. A big thank you!

The Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar: a toast to resilience
Going to Horizon made me realize that I wasn’t the only one dealing with these difficulties. Your generosity helps young people like me get back on track.
The closing of the 2024 Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar, presented by Desjardins, was very moving. Thanks to your generosity, the event, including a virtual auction of prestigious wines and the La Paulée evening, raised $265,000 in support of youth mental in the Montérégie, reaching a new record of over 150 vintage bottles of wine auctioned.
With these funds, young people living with anxiety, depression or other mental health problems can participate in the Horizon 4 saisons therapeutic program. Thanks to the generous community of the Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar, they can find the tools they need to overcome their challenges, forge strong friendships and regain hope in a brighter future.

Liberty Lotto: giving comfort to our elderly patients
Our elderly patients want to say THANK YOU to the many people who participated in the 2024 Liberty Lotto!
Thanks to your participation, they now have a new and adapted therapeutic environment where they can enjoy a moment of tranquility. A new sensory stimulation room! This space is located in the short-term geriatric unit on 7 South.
2024 Liberty Lotto in numbers:

- 13 volunteer ambassadors
- $45,000 in prizes won

- 1 new Snoezelen room for our geriatric patients

A successful Classic in support of a revolutionary orthopedic robot
Your generosity helped to purchase a revolutionary robot for knee replacement surgery. Thanks to YOU, this means more surgeries each year and more customized and precise knee replacements!
On June 3, 2024, the Serge-Lemieux Golf Classic was held alongside Serge Savard and his friends. This edition was a resounding success that raised $362,565.
The 190 guests contributed to the success of this wonderful event held at the Pinegrove Golf Club. Among them were business leaders and celebrities like Serge Savard, honorary president of the event, Marie-Ève Dicaire, Ron Fournier, Michel Lacroix, Michel Bergeron, Normand Laprise, Alain Choquette, Mario Langlois, Stéphane Quintal, Charles-Antoine Sinotte and Stéphane Waite.
Thanks to you, Dr. Hai Nguyen realized his dream to help Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne’s patients awaiting knee surgery return to a normal life.
We’re fortunate to be able to count on partners who share our values and who care about building a stronger health network. Thank you to our honorary president, Serge Savard, and our two co-presidents Jérôme Brassard and Benoit Lemieux who contributed to the success of the event. Community-led fundraising initiatives
Discover some of the initiatives organized by people who share your dedication and generosity!
Among other initiatives, 20 staff members from Hôpital Charles‑Le Moyne climbed Kilimandjaro and raised $105,000 in support of thoracic oncology research.
Momentum One’s Aera Chambly project is another wonderful example! Using construction fences to highlight businesses who stand in solidarity with our cause, they raised $81,500 for the Foundation.
And the enchanting initiative of Bô Sapin, delivering Christmas trees and wreaths to homes and adding to the magic of the Holidays, with 20% of all proceeds donated to the Foundation.
And since generosity starts at a young age, you’ll also discover the little philanthropists who are joining in the cause because they want to change the world, one act of kindness at a time.
