The late Yvan Forest, patient
Like us, you have your own history with the Hospital. For some of you, it’s lifelong. For others, just a visit.
Your experience may have been short or long, joyful or sad. But you’ll forever be linked to Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.
Your Hospital has been there for you at every stage of your life. As one of our generous donors, you’ve been there too. For the patients at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne and their families.
Through your generous support, you’ve been there for them during moments of great joy and hardship. Whether it’s the birth of adorable Charles. Christopher who is dealing with mental illness. Nicole Courchesne who is recovering from cancer. Or the late Nicole Cormier, whose hand you held until she drew her last breath.
You’re there for challenges, big and small. You’re there for life’s precious moments. And you’re there to help us provide a healthcare environment that stands out for its quality, safety, innovation—and compassion.
The love you show our patients and our health staff is an inspiration to us all.
We are so grateful to you.

I often say that Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne is ‘my’ hospital. It’s where I’ve experienced great joy, like the birth of my daughters. And profound sadness, like the very recent passing of my beloved father, Ron.

By giving, you’re providing support to thousands of patients, families and health care workers at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne.
The health crisis has turned our lives upside down. Despite this, for two years now, you’ve continued to rise to the occasion.
And you’ve even gone beyond by helping our events reach unparalleled heights. The Generations Challenge. The Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar. Liberty Lotto. The patients at our Hospital are so fortunate to have you among the Foundation’s allies.
A heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for helping us do for our current and future patients.
I’m proud that in my riding, in the Montérégie, four hospital foundations joined forces to raise funds for our hospitals. If there’s one thing we realized during the pandemic, it’s that health is a priority and every one of us has a role to play.
Christian Dubé, Minister of Health and Social Services
There are no words to describe our emotions and our gratitude. Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible $635,000! That’s over $1 million in two years.
Our entire region rallied for its hospitals! Close to 500 participants and thousands of donors contributed to the success of this large solidarity movement across the Montérégie. A resounding success that earned Nathalie Boudreau, the Foundation’s Executive Director, the Outstanding Innovative Manager Award from the Quebec Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
Put simply, and in all sincerity, THANK YOU!
We look forward to seeing you in 2022 for a new edition, this time across the whole province!
Thank you to all our regional driving forces: the National Bank of Canada, Lowe’s Canada and Alimentation Couche-Tard. And thank you to our other sponsors: Bell Let’s Talk and Biron Health Group.
If I ever have suicidal thoughts again, I’ll remember that the moments we spent together are what make life worth living.
Laura, participant in the Project Horizon 4 Saisons Project
Our Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar, presented by Desjardins, was a stunning success thanks to you. We raised close to $500,000 through our online auction of prestigious wines and the Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne’s La Paulée evening.
Thanks to your generosity, young people like Laura, who suffer from anxiety or depression, are able to get a diagnosis and the care they need. They find the tools that will help them function for the rest of their lives and avoid more serious problems.
Once again, THANK YOU for your support and your compassion! See you next year!
Thank you to everyone who generously donated bottles of wine. Thank you Desjardins, our presenter. And thank you to all our partners and sponsors: Alfred, FNX-Innov, Jarislowsky Fraser, Loto-Québec and the SAQ.
Additional examination rooms are more important than ever because the pandemic has created a deficit of 100 000 colonoscopies. That means 5000 to 10 000 patients run the risk of a late cancer diagnosis.
Michaël Bensoussan, gastroenterologist
To all our ticket buyers: You’re changing lives! The $90,000 raised will pay for more examination rooms in the endoscopy department. More screening rooms mean fewer patients on waiting lists—all because of you! THANK YOU! And a special thanks to our volunteer sales team. You’re incredible!
Hospital life has changed a lot over the last two years. The number of hospitalized patients and surgeries has decreased significantly.
We know that there are not enough beds. Not enough surgery time. And waiting lists are getting longer. That’s why, day in and day out, you play a vital role in driving the development of our Hospital.
Providing the best technology available to our patients who need it. That’s your impact! Bringing innovation to care.
Every year, thanks to the commitment and vision of 3,500 employees, including 420 physicians and 1,435 nurses, along with 185 volunteers and 18,000 donors…

The project for a new simulation room is a unique and concrete opportunity to invest in health. To support the new generation of physicians in a sustainable way. We wanted to make this donation during our lifetime so that we can enjoy seeing the project take shape.
Denis S. Arcand and Louise Gaudet-Arcand, Brossard residents
This donation will fund the construction of a high-fidelity simulation room at the new Jean-Marc Lepage pavilion on Université de Sherbrooke’s medical campus, right across from Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne. The new pavilion will welcome its first 24 students in january 2023. Once completed, it will accommodate a hundred students each year.
