At 16, Raven was already carrying a very heavy burden.
She was suffering from social anxiety, generalized anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Everything was a struggle: school, friends, family. Her emotions were out of control. She just needed a break from it all.
She found the break she needed thanks to Horizon 4 saisons.
This innovative mental health program, supported by your generosity, allowed Raven to take part in a therapeutic camp in the heart of nature. It was an opportunity to get away from her daily life, to breathe, to meet other young people who were struggling with the same problems, and above all… to feel understood.
When she got back, she was a changed person.
I came back energized. I had some control over my emotions. And I’d made friends who understand me.
Thanks to your support, Raven was able to find a new balance, develop strategies to cope with her anxiety and build a friend network around her.
You gave her the space to quiet her mind. You gave her a second chance.
