The Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar 2024: A Toast to Resilience

A record-breaking achievement, moving testimonials, and an unforgettable evening.

The 2024 Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar, presented by Desjardins, concluded with a remarkable display of generosity and emotion. Thanks to your support, the event raised $265,000 to benefit youth mental health in the Montérégie, setting a new record with over 150 prestigious wine bottles auctioned.

A woodland evening full of emotion
The closing event, La Paulée, immersed participants in a woodland ambiance inspired by the therapeutic camp experience offered to youths grappling with mental health issues, where canoes and paddles symbolized the journey toward healing and resilience. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Jean-Sébastien Giguère, chef at Montreal’s Restaurant h3 at Humaniti Montréal, while renowned sommelier Élyse Lambert provided expert guidance as they savoured fine wines and celebrated their commitment to this important cause. The evening was filled with solidarity, emotion and reflection on the impact of every act of generosity on youth in need.

Testimonials that touch the heart
The highlight of the evening was the touching testimonial by Mégane and Raven, two young participants of the Horizon 4 Saisons therapeutic program, who shared their struggles with anxiety and depression.

Attending Horizon showed me I’m not alone in facing these challenges. Your generosity helps youth like me get back on track.

Thanks to you, I’ve learned to better manage my emotions and found friends who truly understand me. Thank you for making this possible for us.

A vital cause: offering a fresh start
The funds raised will enable young people struggling with anxiety, depression or other mental health challenges to participate in the Horizon 4 Saisons therapeutic program. Through this experience, they gain the tools to overcome their struggles, build meaningful friendships, and rediscover hope for a brighter future.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners and donors
We wish to express our warmest thanks to our sponsors: Desjardins, Alfred, and Tanguay, along with all the donors who made this incredible edition possible.

See you next year!
This event highlights the strength of solidarity. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2025 for the next edition of The Philanthropists’ Wine Cellar, as we continue to work together for a brighter future.
