Urgent need for medical equipment in ENT!

The Hospital’s Otolaryngology (ENT) Service is overwhelmed. For the last few years, the demand for care has increased steadily. Waiting lists have grown longer and longer.

You’ve no doubt witnessed loved ones, friends or family waiting for care. Maybe you’ve been in the same situation. You know how long, painful and stressful this can be.

It’s urgent to take action now. The pressure on our service has reached a tipping point. Imagine a patient with severe throat pain who is unable to swallow. He ends up in Emergency because he can’t get an appointment anywhere. And all he needed was antibiotics! This happens all too often.

But a unique opportunity has recently opened up. A room adjacent to our ENT clinic is now available. This is a chance for us to treat more patients. While we now have the space, we don’t have all the equipment we need: microscopes, laryngoscopes and other instruments.

As Chief of Surgery, I see patients every day who have to wait too long to get a diagnosis. Our services are overwhelmed, wait times are getting longer, and the risk of complications grows with each passing day.

The government will not be funding the specialized equipment that our ENT clinic absolutely needs. We can only count on the generosity of donors like you to be able to purchase these essential medical tools.

Your donation can turn this unique opportunity into a reality. Your support is the only way we can equip this new space to offer timely and effective ENT care. Your contribution will bring patients closer to the treatment they need. Thank you!
