Supporting the project by Dr. Hai Nguyen and his team to obtain an orthopaedic surgical robot is my way of expressing my profound respect for the institution that has enabled me to practise the profession I love.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Éric Bergeron has been an active member of the Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne community. He joined the Hospital in 1998, when it was undergoing a major transformation to become a leading trauma centre. Since then, his commitment to the cause has only grown.

As a strong advocate for medical progress, Dr. Bergeron firmly believes that Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne is, and should always remain, at the forefront of innovation. That is why he decided to support his orthopedic colleagues’ surgical robot project. He believes robots will become the norm, just as ultrasound has in trauma care, emergency departments and operating rooms, and more recently, neuronavigation.
For Dr. Bergeron, it is essential that Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne stand out for its vision, excellence and drive. Innovation attracts patients, but also talent. And that talent is essential to advancing medicine. It is a virtuous circle he wants to help sustain.
