A prize for our oncologists!

The CISSS de la Montérégie-Centre is extremely proud of this prize, a testament to the excellence of the oncologists and their commitment to patients. Not only is their research contributing to expanding scientific knowledge on a relatively new subject, but it’s enriching the relationship with patients, who are now better equipped make decisions to protect their health.

Once again, you’ve played a vital role for health workers and patients! Your donations helped to finance this critical study. And look how fruitful it has been!

Hematologists-oncologists Nathalie Daaboul and Mélina Boutin, and medical oncologist Catherine Prady, wanted to better understand the effectiveness and safety of the COVID-19 vaccination for patients in active cancer treatment. They wanted to be able to better answer their questions, based on the results of the study.

Thanks to your donations, the study was conducted in spring 2021. But that’s not all! It just won the Prix de cancérologie 2022 in the health and prevention promotion category from the Programme québécois de cancérologie!
