Thanks to YOU, nearly $30,000 has already been raised through the 12-Hour Cycling Challenge! An incredible community effort that will help us do <\/i> for cancer patients, right here in Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie.<\/strong><\/p>\n

12 hours. 35 bikes. 18 teams. One shared cause.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, September 30, the first pedal strokes at 7 a.m. kicked off a day full of energy in the lobby of H\u00f4pital Charles-Le Moyne.<\/p>\n

For 12 hours, 18 teams made up of staff members, physicians, patients, loved ones and young philanthropists took turns on the bikes in support of everyone affected by cancer.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The 18 teams proudly represented their respective departments and groups: FHCLM<\/strong> (Fondation H\u00f4pital Charles-LeMoyne), SPEEDEAU<\/strong> (education department), Passe-Partout<\/strong> (paediatrics and perinatal care), Les Petits Philanthropes<\/strong> (Little Philanthropists\u2019 Club), Les patients et proches du CICM<\/strong> (patients and loved ones at the Centre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 de canc\u00e9rologie de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie), CICM-RCM<\/strong> (Centre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 de canc\u00e9rologie de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie and R\u00e9seau de canc\u00e9rologie de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie), P\u00e9dalons pour Genevi\u00e8ve<\/strong> (operating room), Le C\u0153ur battant<\/strong> (cardiology, 5 South), Les C\u0153urs Poumons<\/strong> (hemodynamics and respiratory therapy), Sant\u00e9 mentale<\/strong> (mental health teams), Les Bicycles radioactifs<\/strong> (medical imaging), Super Mario<\/strong> (facilities and infrastructure), CycloRX<\/strong> (pharmacy), Le Peloton de la pharmacie<\/strong> (pharmacy), Curieth\u00e9rapie<\/strong> (brachytherapy), Les Optiflows<\/strong> (respirology, 1F), \u00c0 fond les synapses<\/strong> (neurology and neurosurgery, 3 North) and Fondation Leski<\/strong> (Fondation Leski).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Patients and their loved ones were also at the heart of the movement. Several hopped on a bike, along with visitors and passersby swept up in the energy of the Challenge.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, the cheers, smiles and donations kept coming. Every pedal stroke had the same goal: advancing cancer care.<\/p>\n

Nearly $30,000 raised\u2026 and the total keeps climbing!<\/strong> And it\u2019s not over yet! The 12-Hour Cycling Challenge fundraising campaign is still open, so we can push that total even <\/i> higher.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
