Longueuil, June 13, 2023 \u2013<\/strong> Today is the official launch of Generations Challenge 2023, a unique philanthropic movement that rallies several hospital foundations across the province.\u00a0The fondation H\u00f4pital Charles-LeMoyne<\/span>\u00a0 and 15 other foundations are coming together for the 4th edition of this major fundraising event, whose goal provincially is to raise $1 million to support hospitals so that they can offer safe, quality care on the cutting edge of technology. Jos\u00e9e Lavigueur, the event\u2019s spokesperson since its inception, is inviting Quebecers, from every generation, to join in this movement.<\/p>\n

$300,000 in support of essential projects
\n<\/strong>The money raised by the Fondation H\u00f4pital Charles-LeMoyne will be used to equip the Hospital with cutting-edge technology, including a revolutionary robot for knee replacement surgery.<\/p>\n

A challenge accessible to everyone
\n<\/strong> By taking part in this inclusive Qu\u00e9bec-wide event, accessible to everyone, citizens can choose a way to push their limits while enrolling those around them to make a donation, using the crowdfunding platform of the foundation in question. Participants choose their own challenge\u2014there are lots of inspiring examples featured on the event\u2019s website at defidesgenerations.com. No matter how they choose to push their limits, participants will be helping their hospital respond to its most pressing needs!<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>The Generations Challenge is much more than an event. It\u2019s the biggest fundraising movement in support of our hospitals. It\u2019s a societal initiative that\u2019s part of a broader desire to transform health care and create a more efficient health network. Hospital foundations are crucial government allies in improving access to care by offering more research, more innovation and greater patient well-being. These foundations play a vital role in helping to invest in projects that reduce wait times and hospital stays, not to mention improving equipment, training and innovation.<\/p>\n

About the Generations Challenge<\/strong>
About the Generations Challenge The Generations Challenge is the only solidarity movement of its kind\u2014a massive online fundraising event to support the province’s hospitals. In 2023, sixteen hospital foundations covering 9 regions, 12 CISSSs, CIUSSSs and university hospital centres joined the movement.
